The head of Facebook has apologised for a “major breach of trust” after admitting it mishandled data belonging to 50 million of its users and promised tougher steps to restrict developers’ access to such information.
Mark Zuckerberg broke his silence to US media, five days after UK firm Cambridge Analytica was accused of improperly accessing user information, to manipulate American voters.
