Italy’s new government allows rescue ship to dock at Lampedusa

Italy’s new government is allowing a rescue ship to dock at one of its ports, after a change of policy by the new coalition government.
The Ocean Viking rescued 82 people attempting the dangerous Mediterranean crossing from North Africa six days ago.
They are heading to the island of Lampedusa after the new Italian government came to an agreement with some fellow European Union members.
Al Jazeera’s Paul Brennan reports.
